4 days of yoga, pilates, hiking & wellness treatments

**This Retreat is Now FULL**

23-26 March, 2023, Mallorca, Spain

Our 4 day (3 nights) Yoga and Pilates Retreat combines pilates in the mornings, evening yoga practice, guided hiking in the unspoilt wilderness of the UNESCO protected Tramuntana and along the dramatic coastline, a 60 mins massage for each guest, and a dreamy sound bath.

‘Find your centre’ and ‘activate your core’ are words we hear so often in Yoga and Pilates but what do they actually mean?

Over a four day practice you will feel nurtured, energised, challenged and re-balanced as we explore these often over-used and sometimes misunderstood terms.

Farm to table: All meals will be based on fresh seasonal local produce, much of it sourced directly from our organic fruit and vegetable garden with zero carbon footprint. Plus plenty of freshly pressed juices, healthy snacks, and teas to keep you happy and fuelled throughout the day.

Additional massages, nutrition consultations, life-coaching sessions & other treatments available: On Demand

Option to arrive a day early, contact us for more info!

This retreat is suitable for all levels.

Our Facilitators

Leona Clarke

Pilates Instructor

dsc_0140

Leona started practicing Pilates in 2010 to alleviate chronic hip pain.  Throughout her physically demanding career as a camera operator she had always taken pain-free movement for granted and came to Pilates as a last resort; she was instantly hooked by the efficacy and depth of the method and its remarkable results.

Leona certified in both Apparatus and Matwork with the Pilates Foundation and has been teaching since 2016.  She runs Steppingstone Pilates, her small but perfectly formed studio in Brighton, UK.

Inspired by her brilliant clients, Leona feels passionately that Pilates is for everyone regardless of age, ability or fitness.  By developing her clients’ understanding and awareness of their own bodies she aims to restore fluidity, efficiency and joy to their movement.  She continues to update her training with emerging discoveries in biomechanics and anatomy.

Rachael

Yoga Teacher

portrait1-3782

Rachael is an experienced and compassionate teacher who has been practicing for over 20 years. She qualified as a yoga teacher in 2008 after leaving a legal career in Hong Kong and London to bring up her family in Brighton (UK) .

Her classes are primarily an exploration of how it feels to inhabit our unique body, focussing on breath-led movement and interspersing gentle flow with moments of deepening stillness. Rachael particularly enjoys incorporating restorative yoga and yoga nidra in her classes, enabling students to experience the often-underrated benefits of deep rest.

Rachael’s classes aim to strike just the right balance between effort and relaxation; whether the class is gentle or challenging, the emphasis is always on paying attention to what feels right for each individual. She encourages students to turn inwards and listen to their unique body rather than simply follow instructions, as she passionately believes that this enables each of us to connect to our own inner wisdom and strength.

Francesco Colucci

Private Chef

dsc7456-min-2-2

Food – for its revitalising, nourishing, comforting and delicious properties- is an integral part of how and why we offer the food we serve on our retreats.

Our retreat chef Francesco ensures you begin the day right, by offering an energising freshly pressed juice before morning yoga practice. A little later, an abundant, colourful, seasonal and locally sourced vegetarian brunch is prepared, allowing you to fill your plate(s) to suit your appetite.

In the evening, a different experience with a sit-down 3 course dinner in our 17th century, candle-lit olive press dining room is served.

Francesco loves healthy cooking and likes to celebrate colourful food that tastes as good as it looks, always respecting the produce and using as many ingredients as possible from our vegetable and fruit garden, farm to table.

Should you have any dietary restrictions, our chef will gladly create a delicious meal plan adapted to your needs.

Location

Your home. Our retreats run in the idyllic traditional and beautifully restored 16th century Finca Son Salas. Sitting on 50 acres of unspoilt nature, you are surrounded by ancient olive trees, vast gardens, almond and orange groves while enjoying complete privacy. Dating from the 16th century, the luxurious estate which was once an olive oil producing farm has been restored to the highest level, while preserving original fittings, including the once donkey-operated olive press.

Down time. We design our retreats to allow for some down time and time for self reflection. Whether you would like to read a book by the fireplace or under a tree, take a nap, take a walk through the olive groves or to the quaint village of Soller, meditate, or lounge by the pool. If you feel like moving your body, challenge one of your fellow yogis to a game of tennis (tennis rackets and balls are provided), or venture outside the Finca, and explore the beautiful Soller Valley and neighbouring villages of Deia and Fornalutx, or head to the port of Soller (30 mins walk). We are also situated on some beautiful hiking trails in the protected UNESCO world heritage Tramuntana. Any questions you may have or any way we can help you plan, don’t hesitate to ask.

Farm to table. Our chef sources much of the fresh produce directly from our organic fruit and vegetable garden, keeping it fresh, local, zero-footprint, and in season. We encourage our guests to visit the garden and enjoy a delicious fruit straight from the tree.

Getting here. Finca Son Salas is a 30 minute drive from Palma de Mallorca international airport. Easiest way to reach us is by taxi. Renting a car is encouraged should you wish to explore the area.
