3 days of yoga, nutrition workshops, and hiking

March 15-18, 2018, Mallorca, Spain

Our 3 day holistic yoga and healthy living retreat combines yoga practice twice a day, beautiful hikes, and a series of workshops to give participants a better understanding of their physical and mental health, and how nutrition can improve overall wellbeing.

Detailed and prepared by accomplished nutritional therapist Suzanne Garaty of Vital Nutrition, all meals will be based on fresh seasonal produce. The first workshop offered by Suzanne will focus on the way nutrition can assist the body’s natural healing ability. The second workshop will focus on taking your healthy lifestyle home with you. Suzanne will share tips and recipes one can easily replicate at home using seasonal and easily available ingredients.

Having culinary qualifications from Leith’s of London, the Culinary Institute of America in New York State, and Matthew Kenney’s PlantLab, Suzanne brings not only a wealth of information, but high quality, beautiful and above all delicious foods to the table.

Mindful Vinyasa Flow

Jay Roberts-Dean

For Jay, what started as a thirst for personal growth in learning and understanding yoga developed into a passion. She completed the 200hr Yoga Works Teacher Training in 2011 and has since completed an extra 300 hours of Teacher Training taking part in The Tantra Flow Teacher Training Program with Jeanne Heileman.

Her teaching style is mostly Mindful Vinyasa Flow with a special emphasis on relating breath to movement. Her classes also incorporate Pranayama (breath work) and Meditation.

Shirin Djavidi
Hatha Flow

Shirin Djavidi

Shirin is a yoga teacher (200 hrs ISHTA graduate) and personal fitness trainer.

Shirin’s Hatha flow yoga will guide, inspire and challenge you, both on a physical level but also mentally. You can expect breathing exercises, asanas with invigorating flow and meditation.

Suzanne Garaty
Nutritionist

Suzanne Garaty

Suzanne’s journey started as a chef when she took her first course in Nutritional cookery in New York in 1996. Thereafter her passion and appreciation for optimum nutrition grew. She studied and qualified as a Clinical Nutritionist in 2008 and founded Vital Nutrition. Her quest for knowledge and insight led her to embarking on a 3 year course in the UK at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she graduated as a British Registered Nutritional therapist.

She has worked with many clients with individual needs, including IBS, digestive problems, candida, under-active thyroid, diabetes type 2, cardiovascular problems, skin conditions, anxiety & depression. 

Suzanne provides practical, doable, yet cutting-edge nutritional information based on scientific research, no fad diets with unrealistic goals to achieve. She assesses lifestyle, stress levels, life/work balance and discusses simple methods of improving this to support you on your journey to optimum health.

What should I bring?

Please bring your mat and some comfortable shoes for the hike, or to take advantage of our tennis court!

If you do not wish to bring your own mat, yoga mats will be provided.

Location

Our retreats run in the idyllic Finca Son Salas. Sitting on 50 acres of beautiful, wild unspoilt nature, you are surrounded by ancient olive trees, lush gardens, almond and orange groves.

Dating from the 17th century, the luxurious estate which was once an olive oil producing farm has been restored to the highest level, while preserving original fittings, including the once donkey-operated olive press.

We design our retreats to allow for some down time and time for self reflection. Whether you would like to read a book by the fireplace or under a tree, take a nap or take a walk through the olive groves, lounge by the pool, or even challenge one of your fellow yogis to a game of tennis (tennis rackets and balls available free of charge), the possibilities are endless. You can of course also venture outside the Finca if you so chose, and explore the beautiful Soller Valley and neighbouring villages, including Deia and Fornalutx, or head to the port of Soller. Any questions you may have or any way we can help you plan, don’t hesitate to ask!

Getting here. Finca Son Salas is a 25 minute drive from Palma de Mallorca airport. Easiest way to get to the venue is by taxi. Renting a car is strongly encouraged should you wish to explore the area.
